This document specifies the performance and test requirements for portable, semi-portable, and fixed-installation electronic uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. The applicable UPSs have the following characteristics: -- Powered by an AC voltage not exceeding 1,000 V; -- Provide an AC output voltage not exceeding 1,000 V; -- Contain an energy storage device with a DC voltage not exceeding 1,500 V; -- Their primary function is to ensure continuous power supply to the load. This document specifies the performance and test requirements for complete UPSs and individual UPS functional units (if applicable). The requirements for individual UPS functional units in the IEC publications listed in the references apply to the extent they do not conflict with this document. UPSs range in power from less than 100 watts to several megawatts to meet the availability and quality requirements of various loads. Information on typical UPS configurations and topologies is provided in Appendices A and B. This document also specifies the performance and test methods related to UPS switches, which are used in conjunction with UPS functional units to ensure continuous power supply to the load. This document does not cover: -- Conventional AC and DC distribution boards and their associated switches; -- Standalone static switching systems covered by GB/T 34940.3; -- Rotary uninterruptible power supplies covered by GB/T 2820.11; and -- DC output uninterruptible power supplies covered by GB/T 7260.503.
