This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and markings for protective gloves against mechanical hazards.
This standard applies to gloves that protect against one of the mechanical hazards of friction, cutting, or puncture.
The test methods used in this standard are also applicable to arm protection equipment that is independent of gloves and clothing.
