The chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content. This document specifies the safety requirements for portable immersion heaters for household and similar purposes. This document applies to portable immersion heaters for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, and also applies to appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professionals in shops, light industry, and farms. In practical terms, the common hazards associated with the appliances covered by this document may be encountered by all people in residential and surrounding environments. However, in general, this document does not consider the following situations: -- People (including children) who cannot safely use the appliances without supervision or guidance due to physical, sensory, or mental disabilities; or -- Children playing with the appliances.
