This document specifies the safety requirements for microwave ovens for household and similar purposes.
This document applies to microwave ovens for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.
This document also applies to combination microwave ovens. For specific requirements, see Appendix AA.
This document also applies to microwave ovens intended for use on ships. For specific requirements, see Appendix BB.
This document also applies to appliances not intended for general household use but that may still pose a risk to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professionals in shops, light industry, and farms. However, if the appliance is intended for food processing by professionals for commercial purposes, it is not considered to be solely for household and similar purposes.
