GB/T 44959.2-2024 Forensic sciences—Part 2:Recognition,recording,collecting,transport and storage of items
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for the identification, recording, collection, transportation, and preservation of examination objects with potential forensic value, including on-site assessment, examination requirements, requirements for activities in relevant facilities, and quality requirements.
This document does not apply to procedures for recovering data from digital storage media, which are already covered by ISO/IEC 27037. However, the storage media themselves may contain examination objects with forensic value (such as fingerprints or DNA on them).
Appendix D demonstrates the applicability of this document in the forensic science process.
