Abstract
This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage of marine external thread forged steel check valves (hereinafter referred to as check valves). This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of check valves used in marine piping systems for fuel, lubricating oil, fresh water, air, and steam with a temperature not exceeding 250°C.
