This standard specifies the test methods and acceptance criteria for electromagnetic compatibility assessment of tractors and various mobile (including portable) agricultural and forestry machinery, and gardening machinery produced by manufacturers. This standard applies to machines and electronic and electrical components (ESAs) produced after the date of promulgation of this standard. Except for the immunity of machine accessories that do not include direct control and state adjustment, all electronic and electrical components or ESAs installed on the machine are applicable to this standard. This standard does not apply to machines that are directly supplied with low-voltage current by public power transmission lines. Chapter 7 of this standard stipulates that under exceptional circumstances, the relevant tests do not need to be conducted on machines, electronic and electrical systems, or ESAs.
