This standard specifies the method for determining the rust-prevention performance of mineral oil with inhibitors in the presence of water. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of mineral oil with inhibitors, especially turbine oil, in terms of its rust-prevention ability on iron components when mixed with water. It is also applicable to other oils such as hydraulic oil and circulating oil, as well as liquids with a higher density than water.
