Abstract
This standard specifies two methods for determining the seam strength and bursting expansion of textiles. Method A is the steel ball bursting method; Method B is the diaphragm bursting method.
This standard is applicable to knitted fabrics and elastic woven fabrics.
This standard is applicable to linear seams, but not to seams with significant curvature.
