GB/T 15972.32-2008 Specifications for optical fibre test methods—Part 32:Measurement methods and test procedures for mechanical characteristics—Coating strippability
Abstract
This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the test method for quantitatively mechanically stripping the protective coating along the longitudinal axis of the optical fiber, and establishes unified test procedures and technical requirements for measurement. This part is applicable to optical fibers with a nominal outer diameter of 250 μm to 900 μm, which are coated with a polymer coating of Class A1, Class A2, Class A3, and Class B. This part is not applicable to optical fibers with a polymer coating of an actual diameter outside the range of 230 μm to 930 μm.
