GB/T 12621-2008 Standard test method for stress relaxation of gaskets for pipe flanges
Abstract
This standard specifies two test methods, A and B, for stress relaxation of gaskets used in pipe flanges. Test method A is suitable for asbestos rubber gaskets, non-asbestos rubber gaskets, polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets, expanded or modified polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets, flexible graphite composite gaskets, etc. Test method B is suitable for wrapped gaskets, metal-coated gaskets, polytetrafluoroethylene-coated gaskets, toothed metal gaskets with non-metallic coatings, wave-shaped metal gaskets, and wave-toothed metal gaskets, etc. This method is also suitable for gaskets applicable to test method A, and metal flat gaskets can also be tested according to this method.
