GB/T 18380.13-2022 Tests on electric and optical fibre cables under fire conditions—Part 13:Test for vertical flame propagation for a single insulated wire or cable—Procedure for determination of flaming droplets/particles
Abstract
This document describes a test method for evaluating the droplets/particles emitted during the combustion of a single insulated wire, cable, or optical cable under specified flame conditions.
Note: If necessary, the tests in this document can be conducted simultaneously with those in GB/T 18380.12.
Appendix A provides recommended performance requirements.
This document specifies the standard use of a 1 kW pre-mixed flame, which is not suitable for testing small-sized single wires or cables with a total cross-sectional area of less than 0.5 mm2, as their conductors will melt before the end of the test, nor is it suitable for thin optical cables, as the cables will break before the end of the test.
