Abstract
This standard specifies the test methods for industrial stearic acid, including iodine value, saponification value, acid value, color, solidification point, moisture, inorganic acid, ash, and the determination methods of its composition. This standard is applicable to the determination of industrial stearic acid (mainly composed of octadecanoic acid and hexadecanoic acid) produced by refining animal and vegetable fats through hydrolysis and extraction or distillation.
