GB/T 6505-2008

This standard specifies the test methods for the boiling water shrinkage rate and dry hot air shrinkage rate of chemical fiber filaments such as polyester (polyester), polyamide (nylon), polypropylene (PP), and cellulose fibers—the twisting method and the single-fiber method. The twisting method provides two forms of manual measurement and instrument measurement. In case of dispute, the manual measurement method shall be used. If this method is not applicable, the parties concerned shall agree on the corresponding test methods. This standard applies to chemical fiber filaments with a linear density of less than 3,000 dtex. This standard does not apply to pre-oriented filaments.
