Abstract
This standard specifies the principles and methods for measuring the radioactive activity of solid materials generated during the operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities, which are intended for recycling, reuse, or disposal as non-radioactive waste. This standard applies to the measurement of the radioactive activity of solid materials generated during the operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities, which are intended for recycling, reuse, or disposal as non-radioactive waste, in order to determine whether these materials comply with the published clean-up and control standards. For the measurement of the radioactive activity of solid materials from other sources that are intended for recycling, reuse, or disposal as non-radioactive waste, this standard may be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to radioactive waste in the general sense.
