GB/T 3517-2022 Rubber,raw natural—Determination of plasticity retention index (PRI)
Abstract
This document describes the method for determining the plasticity retention rate (PRI) of natural rubber.
PRI is a measure of the resistance of natural rubber to thermal oxidative aging. The higher the value, the better the resistance to thermal oxidative aging. PRI is not an absolute value, and it is impossible to provide an absolute grading for the plasticity values of different natural rubbers after thermal oxidative aging.
This document is applicable to the determination of PRI of natural rubber.
