Abstract
This standard specifies the chemical analysis method for determining the fiber content in mixtures of spandex (polyurethane elastic fibers) and certain other fibers.
This standard is applicable to two-component mixtures of spandex with cellulose fibers (cotton, linen, viscose fibers, cupro, modal fibers, lyocell fibers), animal fibers (silk, wool, other special animal fibers), polyamide fibers, polyvinyl alcohol fibers, polyester fibers, polypropylene fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, acetate fibers, or triacetate fibers.
