Abstract
This standard specifies the procedures for producing microfilms that meet quality requirements, and the images on these microfilms must meet the scanning requirements. This standard prescribes the methods for photographing documents on 16 mm and 35 mm silver gelatin microfilms, including: the orientation of the images on the microfilms, the use of non-image areas, and the necessary information for identifying microfilms. This standard applies to platform-type and rotary-type microfilm cameras. This standard does not apply to the photographing of technical drawings, maps, floor plans, and newspapers, which are photographed using existing specialized national or international standards [1]～[3].
