Abstract
This standard defines the terms used in the plastics industry. When a term has one or more synonyms, the synonyms are listed after the preferred term. The synonyms are then detailed in alphabetical order. Terms that are not recommended are indicated by the phrase "not recommended". When a definition cannot be found or is not specified, a symbol is used after the term in question.
