Abstract
This document specifies the classification, grading, and marking of self-priming filter escape respirators (hereinafter referred to as respirators), technical requirements, labeling, and packaging, and describes the test methods.
This document is applicable to single-use respirators used for protection against toxic and harmful gases, vapors, and particulate matter during escape.
This document is not applicable to escape respirators used in oxygen-deficient environments.
