This standard specifies an information model for the packaging of learning, education, and training content, which includes content packages that allow cross-platform import, export, and aggregation/disaggregation. For this standard, learning content is defined as any digital or non-digital entity that can be used for learning, education, or training, referred to as content.
This standard does not specify how learning management systems should represent or use content packaging instances.
This standard is applicable to learning resource developers who create learning content by providing a foundation for standard data binding.
