This document specifies the basic characteristics of refrigeration appliances for household and similar purposes that are cooled by natural air convection or forced convection internally, and describes the test methods for checking these characteristics.
Note: Appendix F lists the items that may be included in the test report.
It is hereby declared that the tests specified in this document are type tests used to evaluate the basic design and operation of a refrigeration appliance. This document does not make any requirements for production sampling, conformity assessment, or certification.
The verification test systems in different countries and regions vary, so this document does not impose unified requirements on the system. When it is necessary to verify the performance of a refrigeration appliance of a given type that is compatible with this document, all tests should be conducted on the same prototype if feasible. When studying a particular characteristic of the refrigeration appliance, a single test may also be conducted separately.
