GB/T 15445.5-2011 Representation of results of particle size analysis—Part 5:Methods of calculations relating to particle size analyses using logarithmic normal probability distribution
Abstract
This part of GB/T 15445 provides some theoretical basis for the particle size characterization method of particle systems with cumulative particle size distributions obeying the log-normal probability distribution, and can clearly verify the calculations made using the particle size distribution function.
This part explains the design of log-normal probability graphs and the calculation methods of moments, median diameter, average particle size, and volume-specific surface area. The log-normal probability distribution is often used to describe the cumulative particle size distribution in any dimension.
This part is applicable to cumulative distributions characterized by number, length, area, volume, or mass, which can be represented by a series of parallel lines, and the position of any known line can be used to determine the positions of all other lines.
