YY/T 0809.13-2020 Implants for surgery—Partial and total hip joint prostheses—Part 13:Determination of resistance to torque of head fixation of stemmed femoral components
Abstract
This part of YY/T 0809 specifies the method of measuring the torque required to cause the loosening of the femoral head of a hip joint prosthesis (where the head of the hip joint prosthesis is not expected to rotate relative to the neck) under specific laboratory conditions.
This part applies to the femoral components of partial or total hip joint prostheses, where the femoral head and femoral neck/shaft (hereinafter referred to as the cone) are fixed together by conical locking or other means, and where the femoral head and cone are separate components, made of metal or non-metallic materials.
This part does not include methods for inspecting samples; sample inspection should be conducted through consultation between the testing laboratory and the sample provider.
