GB/T 42598-2023 Safety of machinery—Instruction handbook—General drafting principles
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for mechanical manufacturers to prepare the safety-related sections of the machine user's manual.
This document:
-- Provides more specific technical specifications for the general requirements of usage information stipulated in GB/T 15706-2012 section 6.4.5;
-- Specifies the safety-related content, corresponding structure, and presentation form of the user's manual based on considering all stages of the machine's entire life cycle.
Note 1: Chapter 6 of GB/T 15706-2012 outlines strategies for reducing machine risks, including intrinsic safety design measures, safety protection, and supplementary risk reduction measures, as well as usage information.
Note 2: Appendix A provides a comparison table between the provisions on usage information in section 6.4 of GB/T 15706-2012 and the corresponding provisions in this document.
Note 3: For general information on the concept and preparation of user's manuals, see IEC/IEEE 82079-1:2019.
This document establishes the principles that need to be met for providing residual risk information.
This document does not specify requirements for declarations related to noise and vibration emissions.
