GB/T 20975.7-2020 Methods for chemical analysis of aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 7:Determination of manganese content
Abstract
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the spectrophotometric method with potassium periodate and the titrimetric method with Na2EDTA for determining the manganese content in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitration determination of manganese content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The determination range of the spectrophotometric method with potassium periodate is 0.004% to 2.00%; the determination range of the titrimetric method with Na2EDTA is 8.50% to 45.00%.
In this part, the spectrophotometric method with potassium periodate is not suitable for aluminum and aluminum alloys with a cerium mass fraction of more than 0.005%.
