Abstract
This document describes the method of determining the content of polyacrylonitrile fibers, modified polyacrylonitrile fibers, chlorine-containing fibers, or polyurethane elastic fibers in the following two mixtures after removing non-fiber substances using the dimethylformamide method: -- polyacrylonitrile fibers, certain modified polyacrylonitrile fibers, certain chlorine-containing fibers, and certain polyurethane elastic fibers; and -- sheep's wool, other animal hair fibers, silk, cotton, viscose fibers, cuprammonium fibers, modal fibers, lyocell fibers, polyamide fibers, polyester fibers, polypropylene fibers, polyester composite elastic fibers, polyolefin elastic fibers, melamine fibers, polypropylene/polyamide composite fibers, polyacrylate fibers, and glass fibers. This document is not applicable to textiles containing sheep's wool, other animal hair fibers, and silk that have been dyed with chromium-mordant dyes.
