Abstract
This document describes the methods for determining the arsenic content in steel and alloys using spectrophotometry and the iodometry method.
The scope of application of the methods in this document is as follows: Method One (destillation separation-molybdenum blue spectrophotometry) is suitable for determining the arsenic content in steel and alloys with a mass fraction of 0.0005% to 0.10%; Method Two (sodium hypophosphite reduction-iodometry) is suitable for determining the arsenic content in cast iron, carbon steel, and alloy steel with a mass fraction of 0.010% to 0.65%.
