Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, and marking for student supplies.
This standard applies to supplies used by students under the age of 14 (inclusive) for learning purposes, including watercolor paints, crayons, oil pastels, modeling clay, erasers, correction fluids, correction tapes, correction stickers, correction pens, liquid glue, solid glue, paste, watercolor pencils, fountain pens, ink ballpoint pens, neutral ink ballpoint pens, water-based ink ballpoint pens, markers, whiteboard markers, fluorescent markers, pencils, mechanical pencils, ink, lead cores, drawing rulers (straight rulers, triangular rulers, protractors, angle rulers, drawing templates, excluding T-square rulers), student compasses, school notebooks, book covers, backpacks, pencil cases, stationery scissors, pencil boxes, manual pencil sharpeners, pencil sharpeners, and other student supplies.
This standard does not apply to stationery products intended for use by students over the age of 14 or by professionals.
