GB/T 19670-2023 Safety of machinery—Prevention of unexpected start-up
Abstract
This document specifies design measures to prevent the unintended start-up of machines (see 3.2), so as to facilitate safe manual intervention in hazardous areas (see Appendix A).
This document applies to unintended start-ups caused by all types of energy sources, namely:
—— Power sources, such as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic;
—— Energy stored in gravity, compression springs, etc.;
—— External influences, such as wind power.
This document does not specify the performance level or safety integrity level of safety-related components of control systems. Although measures to prevent unintended start-ups are provided, this document does not specify measures to prevent unintended start-ups for specific machines.
Note: Class C standards can specify the measures required to prevent injuries caused by unintended start-ups. However, the requirements for specific machines need to be determined through risk assessments, which is beyond the scope of this document.
