Abstract
GB/T 34903 specifies the general principles, basic requirements, recommended practices, and product quality assurance guidelines for the selection and evaluation of non-metallic materials used in oil and gas production equipment. Equipment damage caused by the failure of non-metallic materials can pose risks to public health, personnel safety, and the environment. This standard helps to prevent such costly corrosion damage to equipment. This standard supplements, but does not replace, the material technical requirements already contained in equipment design guidelines, standards, or legal regulations.
This part of GB/T 34903 specifies the evaluation requirements and procedures for elastomeric materials used in oil and gas extraction equipment.
