Abstract
This standard specifies the dimensions and marking requirements of the connection threads (referred to as API threads) and gauges for API line pipes, round threaded casings, round threaded oil pipes, bi-conical threaded casings, and direct-connect casings, as well as the instruments and methods used to inspect API threads and gauges.
This standard applies to the processing, measurement, and inspection of threads on casings, oil pipes, and line pipes used in the oil and gas industry.
