This standard specifies the content of fastener inspection documents issued by fastener manufacturers or distributors and/or external authorized representatives in response to the specific requirements of the purchaser when placing an order.

Note: "Certificate" is a general term, while the term used for fastener inspection documents is "Test Report".
This standard specifies the content of fastener inspection documents in accordance with the requirements of orders, relevant standards, and/or regulations.
This standard applies to finished fasteners, such as bolts, screws, studs, nuts, washers, pins, and rivets made from carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, or non-metallic materials.
This standard does not apply to special engineering applications (such as initial samples) with special purposes or requiring other types of procedures.
Appendix A provides examples of inspection documents. Appendix B provides examples of code identification systems in fastener inspection documents.
