Abstract
This document specifies the categories, markings, usage conditions, general characteristics, basic requirements, electrical characteristics, lightning protection, command and control, and inspection rules of voltage limiters for urban rail transit. It also describes the test methods for voltage limiters in urban rail transit.
This document applies to voltage limiters (VLDs) used in DC traction systems to meet the relevant provisions of GB/T 28026 on protection against electric shock and protection against stray current.
Note: The VLDs operate by connecting the return rail of the DC traction power supply system to the grounding system or to conductive components within the overhead contact line area or the power receiver area.
