Abstract
This standard specifies the service capability requirements, optical network requirements, PMD layer requirements, GTC layer requirements, functional requirements, management and maintenance requirements, and other requirements of the 10 Gbit/s passive optical network (hereinafter referred to as XGPON) system.
This standard is applicable to XGPON equipment in the public telecommunications network environment, and it can also be used as a reference for private telecommunications networks.
