Abstract
This part of GB/T 31586 specifies the evaluation method for the tensile strength of protective paint coatings on steel substrates with a thickness of not less than 10 mm. The steps given in the standard are based on the use of different types of tensile testing equipment. The test results obtained with these different types of equipment are not comparable.
