This document specifies the safety requirements for non-incandescent fluorescent lamps for general lighting, including requirements for marking, mechanical and electrical connections, insulation resistance, electrical strength, heat resistance and flame retardancy, creepage distance and electrical clearance, temperature rise at measurement points, ultraviolet radiation, etc. It also describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the design, production, and sales of non-self-ballasted non-incandescent fluorescent lamps, excluding self-ballasted non-incandescent fluorescent lamps.
This document is not applicable to self-ballasted non-incandescent fluorescent lamps.
Note: Self-ballasted non-incandescent fluorescent lamps refer to products that integrate a discharge chamber, an inductive power coupler, and a ballast.
