GB 1886.315-2021 Food Safety National Standard: Food Additives, Jacarun Lake Glaze (E124) and its aluminum lake
Abstract
This standard applies to carmine, a food additive prepared from the dried bodies of female adult cochineal beetles (Dactylopius coccus Costa), extracted with water, methanol, and/or ethanol solutions, and then concentrated. It also applies to carmine red, a food additive obtained by further chelating and refining carmine with aluminum salts.
