Scope
This standard applies to composite insulators used in AC and DC systems with a nominal voltage higher than 1000V, including composite insulators for overhead power lines, composite bushings and composite pillar insulators used in power plants, substations, and converter stations (hereinafter referred to as composite insulators). Composite porcelain or glass insulators can be implemented with reference to this standard.
