Abstract
This document specifies the principles, objectives, types, methods, equipment, failure criteria, procedures, data processing, and test reports for the bending fatigue strength test of involute cylindrical gears. This document is applicable to determining the basic data required for the design of the bending fatigue bearing capacity of involute cylindrical gears made of steel or cast iron, and is also suitable for comparing and analyzing the bending fatigue performance of gears under different materials, different processes, and different modification methods. Similar tests for gears made of other materials or non-involute gears can be used as reference.
