Abstract
This document describes the general method of detecting inspected components using various ultrasonic guided waves, such as magnetostriction, piezoelectric ultrasound, electromagnetic ultrasound, and laser ultrasound. This document is applicable to the ultrasonic guided wave detection of elastic solid structural parts with regular cross-sectional geometries, including pipes, rods, plates, wires (including ropes and cables), and profiles.
