Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models, basic requirements, special requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of firefighters' protective eyewear.
This standard applies to protective eyewear worn by firefighters during fire-fighting and rescue operations; it does not apply to protective eyewear used in environments involving arc welding, lasers, and nuclear radiation.
