GB/T 13346-2012 Metallic and other inorganic coatings—Electroplated coatings of cadmium with supplementary treatments on iron or steel
Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements for cadmium electroplating layers on steel. It includes the information provided by the customer to the electroplater, and the requirements for the plating layer and the heat treatment before and after electroplating.
This standard does not apply to cadmium electroplating layers on unprocessed sheet metal, strip, or wire; cadmium electroplating layers on coiled springs; or those used for purposes other than protection, self-lubrication, ductility, conductivity, and low contact resistance.
This standard does not specify requirements for the surface condition of the base metal before cadmium electroplating.
The plating thickness of threaded parts is subject to the restrictions of thread grade and fit and other dimensional requirements.
