This standard specifies the procedures for on-site balancing of large and medium-sized rotors in their own bearings. It describes the conditions suitable for on-site balancing, the required instruments, the content of safety measures, and the requirements for reports and maintenance records.
This standard can be used as the basis for specifying on-site balancing contracts.
This standard does not provide guidance on calculating the correction mass from measured vibration data.
