Scope

1.0.1 In order to standardize the quality of odorants for urban gas, the amount of odorant added, and the design, installation, acceptance, operation, and maintenance of odorant devices, and to ensure the warning effect of odorants, these regulations are formulated. l.0.2 These regulations apply to the design, installation, acceptance, operation, and maintenance of odorant systems for urban gas. They do not apply to the odorization of gas used in production processes in industrial enterprises with special requirements. 1.0.3 The selection of odorants and gas odorant devices for urban gas should be technologically advanced, safe and reliable, and economically reasonable. Mature and effective new processes, new technologies, new materials, and new equipment should be actively adopted. l.0.4 In addition to complying with these regulations, urban gas odorant systems should also comply with the provisions of the current relevant national standards.
