Scope

This part of GB/T 8812 specifies the test method for determining the load or breaking load of rigid foam plastic specimens under a specified deformation under the action of three-point bending load. This part is applicable to materials with a thickness of not less than 20 mm. This part is not applicable to foam plastics that are easily crushed. This method uses small specimens and does not produce pure bending deformation, so it cannot be used to calculate the bending strength or the apparent bending elastic modulus. Only when the physical properties and dimensions of the materials are similar can the measured values be compared with each other.
