This document specifies the methods for preparing samples and determining the performance of polyformaldehyde molding and extrusion materials.

This document lists the performance characteristics and test methods for characterizing polyformaldehyde molding and extrusion materials. These performance characteristics are selected from general test methods. Some other particularly important or widely used test methods for polyformaldehyde molding and extrusion materials are also included in this document, as well as characteristic performance: melt flow rate and tensile elastic modulus.
In order to obtain comparable and reproducible test results, it is intended to follow the sample preparation process and state adjustment methods, sample sizes, and test methods specified in this document. Test data obtained using different sample sizes or sample preparation methods may not be consistent.
