Scope
This part of GB/T 21479 specifies the terms and definitions of propellers used in propulsion systems of ships and other self-propelled or auxiliary propelled transport vehicles (such as offshore mobile drilling platforms). The definitions specified in this part apply to the hydrodynamically effective (functional) part of the propeller, and do not apply to the mechanical structure of the propeller hub. For terms related to adjustable-pitch propellers, please refer to GB/T 21479.2.
