Scope

This document describes two test methods for determining the heat resistance of patent leather: the cracking test machine method (Method A) and the "Zweck" instrument method (Method B).
This document is applicable to the determination of the heat resistance of various types of patent leather. Other types of coated leather should be tested in accordance with the guidelines provided herein.
