Scope

This standard specifies the location for cutting laboratory samples from a single piece of leather, as well as the method for labeling the cut laboratory samples.
This standard applies to the sampling of leather made from the skins of various mammals.
This standard does not apply to the sampling of leather made from the skins of birds, fish, and reptiles.
